The aluminum market may soon see prices rise, or at least find a floor, as mining companies find that rising energy costs and low prices for the metal are a toxic mix. Metals mining giant Rio Tinto PLC RIO announced Wednesday that it will close its nearly 40-year-old Lynemouth smelter in Northumberland, England.
