Rainbow, the rare earth element mining company, is pleased to announce an operations update from its Gakara Project in Burundi ('Gakara') for the three months to 30 June 2018.

The Gakara mine holds some high-grade rare earth elements, some of which are expected to become essential for the manufacturing of batteries, magnets and electric vehicles.
Gakara mine, which operated for 30 years until 1978, is expected to restart commercial production in the fourth quarter of the year.
