The results of the latest MPi poll suggest mining employees send employers misleading signals about their expectations for pay.

SALARIES for expatriates currently working in Africa are trending upwards after 85% of mining companies increased wages in 2017 according to African-specialist HR consultancy firm Globe 24-7.
The average annual salary is about $97,500, not so far from the global average of about $98,700.
Ranges are large plus the differences between large and small mines is significant.
