The bulls can rest their case on this one chart
Gold is being amassed largely on the fears that the global currency system is flawed, and the American and Chinese economies are headed for another fall. Japan, Europe and several other western countries are aging, thus their output will slow.
However, the bears overlook a deep economic imbalance that is rapidly being righted. China and India have historically had much larger ecnomies than western economies due to their size. India and China were dominant until the mid-1800s when they were eclipsed by Western economies.
By 2027 economists forecast that BRIC countries will overtake the G7, that is Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, and United States.
