Bolivia rejects Desarrollos Zapal’s request to operate the Los Cardones gold mine

The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources in La Paz, Bolivia, has refused to grant authorization to Desarrollos Zapal to operate the Los Cardones gold mine.

The open mine is located in the Sierra la Laguna reserve in Bolivia.

The Ministry argued that the company does not meet the necessary requirements to operate the mine.

Desarrollos Zapal has stated that it will appeal the decision and submit a new request.
