India state-owned NMDC says iron ore export target may fall by 50%

India's state-owned miner NMDC feels that iron ore export target will fall by around 50 per cent during this fianancial year, said a top official. The ministry of steel is now in the process of fixing the quantity for export. Among others, NMDC exports iron ore to Japan and South Korea. It has set a target of 28 to 29 million tonne production and sales of 30 to 31 million tonne for this financial year.
