This is a great opportunity for talented people who can develop as a Market Development Manager who will have the mission to implement and coordinate SQM's market and product development strategy in the target area, seek assertiveness in projecting demand for new products and support to promote the appropriate portfolio for the region, promote the training and tools necessary for the development of SQM's sales team to facilitate the achievement of sales targets, monitor sales performance in accordance with market development activities. It is a team player job that implies visiting markets, identify the needs of the markets, plan, execute and support market and product development activities alongside with the commercial team of SQM.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Ensure the implementation of market and product development plan in the region;
- Develop value propositions using our products and services, providing optimal solutions in plant nutrition;
- Ensuring the best portfolio support material suitable for the crops in the region;
- Promote the development and training of SQM commercial team
- Development of SQM core products potential use per geographical area
- Geographical market and crop production understanding
- Diagnosis of the current market situation and development activities proposal
- Participate in seminars, conferences, and technical events representing SQM
- Participate in the development/review of research protocols
- Preparation and review of technical articles and material to be published
- Accompaniment/mentoring of technical/commercial team in the geographical area
- Visit and technical support on key accounts
THE SKILLS YOU’LL NEED
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Agronomy
- Willingness to travel.
- 10 years’ experience with plant nutrition or agriculture production.
- Computer systems: good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Power point).
- Fluent in Spanish and English. Other languages are considered as an asset.
