In this role, you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Participate in next generation wireless design and deployment
- Work with technology such as LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, and other new technologies
- Evaluate technologies in lab and field environments for use case support
- Cooperate with team to select, design, and deploy the new technology to active mine operations
- Occasional travel to various sites with a company vehicle, eventually unescorted
Requirements:
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Previous experience or exposure with coding, data engineering and database systems is an asset
- Previous experience working and understanding basic IP network theory and applications
- Able to work efficiently independently as well as part of the team
- Proven ability to learn new technologies and platforms quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Able to articulate sophisticated concepts clearly and in a way a diverse audience would understand
- Motivated, adaptable and driven to learn
- Good vehicle awareness and a legal driver's license is required
- Willing to work in an industrial environment
- All students will be required to complete pre-employment drug testing prior to commencing work
- Proof of a valid work permit will also be required, if applicable
