2025 Summer Internship – Credit Risk Management:
Location: New York, NY
About the role:
Your key responsibilities and accountabilities will be:
- Analyze and report on corporate risk.
- Assist in producing detailed credit reports and proposing adequate credit limits for counterparties.
- Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the liquidity, profitability, and the degree of risk involved in counterparty relationships.
- Work directly with internal & external customers to improve processes, coordinate legal documents, and enhance relationships.
- Facilitate the use of credit insurance and other risk mitigants where needed.
- Input and maintain data integrity for the relevant credit systems.
As the successful candidate you will have experience in, and demonstrate the following:
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent with excellent academic record.
- Strong analysis/writing/planning skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel & Word
- Proactive, detail-oriented, reliable, and good time management / organizational skills.
- Ambitious and entrepreneurial, willing to learn.
- Strong interest in international commodity markets.
Additional information:
- This is a paid internship – $23/hour
- In person office attendance is required in accordance with Glencore’s US policy (currently Monday – Thursday)
- Office is located at 330 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10017
- Intern will be responsible for transport costs to/from the Glencore office.
