Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Senior Reliability Specialist you will be part of the Mobile Maintenance Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Review mine maintenance manpower requirements to ensure planned maintenance activities can be completed efficiently;
- Develop and implement weekly and monthly schedules for maintenance activities;
- Participate in operation meetings to ensure planned work meets operational needs;
- Ensure work is planned with appropriate support and documentation;
- Ensure planned work is scheduled effectively to minimize equipment downtime;
- Ensure all parts, equipment and tools necessary for planned maintenance work are available prior to scheduling work;
- Communicate to all personnel involved the sequencing of events with expected completion times
- Create detailed job packages which are simple, clear and concise;
- Review maintenance work to be planned prior to scheduling process;
- Facilitate weekly planning and backlog review meetings;
- Issue and prioritize notifications and work orders in accordance with production requirements and resource availability;
- Monitor outstanding work orders to determine maintenance requirements or equipment backlog;
- Present and review planning KPI’s with Supervisors on a weekly basis;
- Review, audit and evaluate effectiveness of task lists, maintenance items and maintenance plans;
- Coach technicians within CMMS (SAP or JDE);
- Support and assist in the development of safe work procedures;
- Provide leadership to mechanical trades, ensuring work is being completed in a safe and efficient manner;
- Make recommendations to improve the maintenance system and initiate the required corrective action;
- Review completed work for: areas of improvement; proper documentation; technical & business completion.
What You Need To Succeed - Trade Certification or equivalent professional work experience with maintenance work routines:
- Mechanic, Welder or Open Pit Electrical experience would be preferred.
- Exposure to Project Management tools and techniques;
- Experience with maintenance of mobile mining equipment in at least one of 5 areas:
- Shovel & Drills (4100, 7495, 6060, 6030, PV271, D65, DM45);
- Hauling (798, 795F, 777F, 745C, 740B);
- Support Gear (24M, 16M, D11, D10, 992, 993);
- Welding (Mining Shovel Implements, Buckets, Blades);
- LV Shop (light-duty trucks, service vehicles, cranes, light plants, etc..).
- Experience in work management practices and procedures;
- Detailed oriented with drive for continuous improvement;
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP;
- Familiarity with reliability programs within a mobile maintenance environment.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest at our Detour Lake Mine;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
