The open-pit gold mine is a joint venture between IAMGOLD and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. and is operated by IAMGOLD. We are located near Gogama, Ontario, with access to stable infrastructure and strong connections with our local communities.

OT Specialist
The
OT Specialist provides reliable, consistent and timely OT support and expertise to Côté Gold, by working collaboratively with all stakeholders. The OT Specialist will strive for operational excellence and maximize operational technology uptime and agreed upon KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
Area 1:
Deliver effective and reliable technical and operational support.
- Provide and seek to continuously improve network administration: including diagnosing and repairing Wireless, LTE, switch and routing outages.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all activities related to OT matters.
- Work with operations to customize and set up user specific hardware and software configuration, operating systems and common applications.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Maintain equipment and software inventory and organize equipment, software, and hardware inventory.
- Answer queries and handle requests related to all OT matters.
- Escalate issues requiring advanced expertise or knowledge about the broader business impact of decisions.
- Fulfill support requests through the ticketing system.
- Fully support control room operations for mining and processing plant.
- Perform Server Administration: Support maintenance duties and AD usage.
- Perform Network Administration: Support troubleshooting and repairs.
- Ensure critical spare inventory and third-party services availability.
- Analyze information related to computers which may include generating basic reports, reviewing them for accuracy, and monitoring overall quality.
- Ensure documents and reports are up to date, in the required format, accurate, and produced on time.
- Maintain reference material according to company regulations and policies.
- Maintain equipment repair history.
Area 2
Participate in project coordination, ensuring smooth planning and execution of projects.
- Follow established policies and procedures related to IT and OT with Cote Gold and IAMGOLD and comply with established methodologies and quality standards.
- Coordinate OT consultants and vendors as required.
- Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures (WBS).
- Maintain project documentation, including scope statements, risk registers, and status reports.
- Help define project deliverables and milestones.
- Assist in ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards.
- Track deadlines and follow up on outstanding tasks.

- Coordinate with other team members on site to meet OT deliverables.

- Communicate clearly and effectively using the tools provided.
- Ensure any deficiencies are communicated to the appropriate team members for follow-up.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on our commitment to our team, our communities, the environment, and our shareholders.

Job Qualifications
Minimum Requirements And Nice To Haves
Minimum Qualifications, Formal Education, Certifications Or Equivalents
- College diploma in an OT related field (IT, Communication or Engineering)
Work Experience – Nature & Length
- A minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
- Experience in supporting an autonomous operation or gold mining operation is considered an asset.
Additional Qualifications – Competency Requirements
- Proficient with CAT Minestar, AVEVA, Schneider DCS.
- Proven ability to deliver output on time, on schedule and within budget.
- Completion of a relevant training program Fortinet, CCNA, CCNP, MCSA or MCSE is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with wiring, cabling, communication protocols, and connectivity hardware
- Works well independently and in team settings. Possesses good time-management skills and can work effectively under pressure.
