We are seeking a Sales Specialist to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will support our sales and book management strategies, provide technical assistance, and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients. You will also be responsible for following up on daily sales activities and ensuring smooth operations.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Iron Ore Sales Atlantic and working in a collaborative environment within the Sales and Marketing team, you will be
- Executing IOC’s Contract strategy
- Support the business development and origination activities to expand market reach
- Participate on negotiations for all key contracts and agreements
- Calculating and obtaining approvals for contract pricing letters
- Accountable for monthly P&L reporting
- Actively seek business development opportunities for IOC products
- Closely monitor the HG market and liaise with MA to develop insights about trends, risks and opportunities for IOC products
- Accountable to produce monthly commercial update reports
What You’ll Bring
- A commitment to ensuring the safety of yourself and your team
- 5+ years of experience in sales related environment, like sales, contract management, sales operation, marketing analysis and technical marketing, particularly within iron ore mining or iron ore industries
- Proven experience in handling client visits and organizing meeting agendas
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
- Proficiency in multiple languages is desirable

Where you’ll be working
Rio Tinto’s global headquarters is situated in St. James’s Square, in the City of Westminster, London, on the edge of the West End, and is the site of the group’s original head office. Located over several floors, the office is truly a global hub for the business and is the base for many members of the Executive Committee. As such, the grade II listed office reflects the vibrancy of the location, although it also overlooks the tranquillity of the only garden square in the district and is a short walk from Green Park and Piccadilly underground stations.
