The open-pit gold mine is a joint venture between IAMGOLD and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. and is operated by IAMGOLD. We are located near Gogama, Ontario, with access to stable infrastructure and strong connections with our local communities.

Summer Student, General Labour
We are looking for motivated and hardworking Summer Students to join our team performing general labour at our Côté Gold mine site. This role provides hands-on experience in a mining environment, offering a great opportunity to develop skills while contributing to daily site operations.
This role will be based at our Côté Gold mine site (Gogama, Ontario) on a 14 on, 14 off rotational schedule.
Key Areas Of Responsibility & Duties
- Perform general labour tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and assisting various departments.
- Support teams with site preparation, inventory counts, maintaining general tidiness/housekeeping activities.
- Assist with material handling, loading/unloading, and moving or gathering supplies.
- Follow safety procedures and participate in safety meetings.
- Support site services, maintenance, or production teams with general duties as needed.
- Work in outdoor conditions and adhere to site safety and operational protocols.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
Minimum Qualifications, Formal Education, Certifications Or Equivalents
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary school program.
- Must be a minimum age of 17.
Additional Qualifications – Competency Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work in field conditions.
- Ability to work as a valuable team member in an industrialized remote workplace.
- Capability to work an extended shift schedule primarily in the outdoor environment.
- Familiarity with light machinery such as pick-up trucks, lawn mowers and hand tools. Computer proficiency.
