Lundin Mining is a diversified Canadian base metals mining company with operations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, the United States of America, Portugal, y Sweden, primarily producing copper, nickel and zinc.
Main Purpose
Responsible for all Geologic support activities associated with mining, to include Ore Control, Ore Routing, and Production Tracking.
Main Responsibilities | Activities
• Compilation and interpretation of all underground geological data.
• Upkeep and utilization of grade control model for use with all stope and sill estimations.
• Tracking and reporting of mining activities in relation to ore control.
• EM Probing of stope drill holes; data interpretation and stope design.
• Assist with planning and implementation of underground drilling programs and core logging as required.
• Support 24/7 underground drilling program as needed.
• Assist Geotechnical Engineers with underground mapping as needed.
• Assist Technical Services Lead with monthly reports as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
• A Bachelor of Science in Geology or related field preferred
• Three (3) years underground mining experience preferred
• Experience with mine modelling software, Leapfrog and Vulcan preferred
• Experience with database input and management, using acQuire preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction preferred
• Able to live and work in the USA.

• Participate in HSEC training provided to them
• Report all incidents; including but not limited to injuries, near miss, community interactions and impacts, environmental impacts, spills, unsafe work practices, etc.
