Position: Senior Specialist, T&I Delivery Management.
Location: Riyadh.
About the Role: The Senior Specialist operates at a strategic level to deliver value through Technology & Innovation function by effective portfolio planning. The role also includes management of T&I portfolio through stage gate reviews and appropriate portfolio optimization to address business opportunities and pain points.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the implementation of Ma’aden’ s strategy for T&I
- Support to standardize processes, methodologies, project management practices and tools across the portfolio
- Develop, monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the T&I portfolio and associated programs
- Conduct financial analysis (NPV, IRR, Payback, ROI, DCF etc.) on T&I portfolio of projects
- Optimize the T&I Portfolio by prioritizing projects in terms of maturity – mature vs emerging
- Ensure the T&I initiatives undertaken within the portfolio are aligned to the near- and long-term business objective
- Manage centralized view of all the portfolio, programs and projects running across the organization
- Monitor, track and report on the T&I portfolio, programs and projects
- Periodically audit the portfolio, programs and projects to check for compliance for standard practices
- Measures internal and external success metrics for each initiative and prepare reports on a regular basis
- Sustaining the change on an ongoing basis through communication, consultation, and representation of the stakeholders; conduct sense-making activities, and measuring benefits realization
- Ensure risks and issues are managed with a risk management plan
- Support initiative leaders on the Project Management principles (initiative charter, status tracking report, benefits valuation methods, stakeholder management plan, implementation plan, stage gate review, etc.) whenever required
Leadership:
- Strategic alignment between business objectives and the projects initiated
- Provide mentoring and coaching to the project managers and staff of the PMOs operating at different levels in the organization
- Act as a agent who brings around change and innovation
- Define key success indicators needed for strategic and operational alignment
- Communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of people at different levels within an organization and externally
- Adhering to both Ma'aden values and ethical practices in general
- Provide excellent problem-solving skills and be resourceful and creative in general approach to problems
Relationships:
- Effective communication and relations with peers, senior leadership, and all Ma'aden functions
- Work with parallel streams like Corporate Strategy, Business Planning and Budgeting etc. and develop T&I strategic KPIs and Business Plans
- Conducts regular meetings with stakeholders and internal project team members to review program plan progress, deliverables, action items, ensuring proper communication on program status
- Establish deliberate stakeholder relations (internal and external) aimed at delivering predefined program objectives
- Establish internal and external functional networks that directly benefit the whole function and contribute to the delivery of results
- Keep a pulse and regularly assess organizational progress through regular engagement with leaders
- Demonstrate leadership skills for the team and model effective leadership
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Science or equivalent. 6 years of experience with minimum of five (5) years in Project Management. Demonstrated wide knowledge of Project Management, preferably PMP certified. Demonstrated knowledge in Technology, R&D and Innovation processes and management. Work well in a cross-functional, strongly matrixed environment. Critical thinking capabilities, analytical skills, action orientation. Excellent prioritization skills.
