Job Purpose
Provide technical expertise, leadership, and guidance for the organization in developing and implementing the Process Safety Management system requirements and ensure compliance with PS-related MSHEMS requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide expert support and advice across Ma'aden on process safety matters.
- In depth knowledge and ability to apply SAIS regulations as they apply to process safety
- Conduct and oversee studies such as Hazard Identification (HAZID), Hazard and Operability (HAZOP), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and facility siting evaluations.
- Review Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA), including consequence modeling, assumption validation, and risk mitigation.
- Investigate process safety incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyze process safety performance metrics (e.g., leading/lagging indicators) and develop action plans to address gaps.
- Review material compatibility charts for hazardous mixtures and oversee Process Safety Information lifecycle management.
- Ensure adherence to Ma’aden MSHEMS requirements, including EHSS Bypassing, Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), and Mechanical Integrity (MI).
- Support alarm management rationalization and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments.
- Provide technical expertise in the design and implementation of safety systems, including emergency shutdown systems, pressure relief systems, and hazardous area classification.
- Drive initiatives to enhance process safety culture, including training programs, competency frameworks, and emergency response planning.
- Participate in corporate process safety initiatives including improvement teams and assessments
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Minimum Experience: 8+ Years' of related experience in petrochemical, refinery or mining industries
