Here at Earthstream we currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Fire Safety Engineer to join one of our leading clients.
The Fire Safety Engineer is responsible for reviewing fire safety of the design with focus on legal compliance and cost effective and standardized design. This role ensures that our assets are designed safely considering legalrequirements, best industry practices and operational aspects.
Key responsibilities:
- Strategically lead fire protection, etc. building construction, fire alarm- and extinguishing systems
- Coordinating fire safety topics with Engineering Contractors
- Reviewing design documentation
- Ensuring uniform fire safety design and follow up to design implements in constructions
- Carrying out risk analyses
- Developing and ensuring implementation of the project’s safety tools
- Create internal guidelines, concepts and procedures for fire protection
Qualifications:
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. in fire safety engineering
- 10-15 Years Experience, of which more than five years shall be in heavy industry (Steel, metals & mining, pulp & paper, oil & gas etc.)
- Good understanding of the typically used methods for carrying out fire safety studies.
- Good understanding of the industrial permitting process and local legislation relevant to fire safety.
- Deep knowledge of Swedish building regulations and SBF rules
