Reporting to the Superintendent, Asset Management – Electrical you will lead the High Voltage Electrical Infrastructure Team responsible for managing electrical maintenance programs and tasks for areas of the process plant and sitewide power reticulation.
You will be responsible for maximising the amount of scheduled maintenance and minimising the impact of unscheduled works, reviewing and changing maintenance actions to achieve this where necessary.
Key accountabilities include:
- Leading a team of permanent personnel supplemented by contractors and specialists
- Ensuring electrical maintenance works are completed in a safe manner and in compliance with established safe work procedures and systems.
- Identifying and organising resources required to complete electrical maintenance works
- Ensuring the electrical maintenance plan is efficiently carried out.
- Responding to and managing unscheduled maintenance work so that impact on the operation is minimised.
- Preparing a budget for maintenance works in the area of responsibility and then completing work in accordance with that budget.
About you
- Electrical Trade Qualification.
- W.A. Electrical Workers Licence - A Grade. Endorsed Electrical Mechanic.
- HV Switching Qualifications and experience.
- Qualified to be certified as an "In-house Electrical Installer"
- Significant experience in mining or heavy industrial environment.
- Previous experience in electrical supervision or coordinating
- Experience in the maintenance of HV Equipment, electrical, electronic and instrumental equipment commonly installed in mining operations
- High Voltage Switching and HV power reticulation experience
- Radiation control and management.
- Experience with CMMS SAP platforms well regarded.
- Effective communicator

- Strong professional judgement and critical thinking
- Able to quickly assess information to diagnose problems and opportunities
