Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Superintendent - Energy & Infrastructure, you will be part of the Energy & Infrastructure Department. You will coordinate the teams responsible for infrastructure maintenance as well as all electrical activities of the department. You will play an important role in the best practices and quality control management. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Oversee electrical power distribution and planning for the mine sites (Surface & Underground);
- Ensure good maintenance practices in terms of the preventive, corrective and modification maintenance of both camps (Meadowbank & Amaruq) for the 900 employees, including sewage and water treatment plants;
- Ensure good maintenance practices in terms of the preventive, corrective and modification maintenance of a power plants running generators and its satellite gensets.
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s or Technical Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent;
- Electrical Engineering or a Technical Degree in Electrical is considered an asset;
- Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in roles related to E&I, with three (3) to five (5) years in a supervisory role;
- Excellent knowledge of power plant auxiliary systems and electrical network operation;
- Experience in underground and open-pit mining is considered an asset;
- Demonstrate skills in budget management and management systems;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest.
- Accommodation and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
