Our Opportunity

Work Location: Perth

Roster: Monday to Friday

Fortescue are seeking a highly experienced Senior Account Manager to lead the commercial relationship with our largest mining customers in Australia.

This role is critical to managing our end-to-end engagement across fleet management systems, autonomous haulage, battery-electric solutions, aftermarket services, and warranty programs.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary commercial contact for major mining customers
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders at executive and operational levels
Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, contractual terms, aftermarket services, and warranty agreements
Coordinate cross-functionally across engineering, product, operations, and service teams
Deliver and articulate the value proposition of complex technologies (e.g., AHS, battery systems, digital platforms)
Proactively manage customer satisfaction, issue resolution, and performance reviews
Identify and drive growth opportunities within assigned accounts
Provide market intelligence and customer insight to support business development and product strategy.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum 10 years' experience in senior commercial or account management roles within the mining or heavy equipment sectors
Proven record managing large strategic accounts and delivering revenue growth
Deep understanding of mining equipment, operations, and support systems
Strong technical acumen, particularly in areas such as autonomy, battery-electric systems, and connected fleet technologies
Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
Previous experience with major OEMs (e.g., Cummins, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Epiroc, Hitachi) is highly desirable
Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally.
