About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to support a large-scale data centre construction project in Austria. This is a critical role within a high-performance environment, suitable for a professional who brings deep technical understanding of electrical HV systems, strong safety leadership, and the ability to manage permitting and switching activities in line with strict client and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Senior Authorised Person for all HV/LV electrical systems on site
- Oversee and execute permit-to-work processes, switching schedules, and system isolations
- Ensure the safe operation, energisation, testing, and commissioning of electrical infrastructure
- Work closely with contractors, engineering teams, and client representatives to ensure compliance with safety procedures and project specifications
- Review method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation
- Provide supervision, guidance, and assurance to authorised and competent persons on site
- Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with client and industry standards
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience as a Senior Authorised Person within data centre, mission-critical, or large industrial construction environments
- Strong background withHV/LV electrical systems, switching operations, and safety rules
- Recognised electrical qualification (e.g., apprenticeship, HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent)
- Deep understanding of high-risk electrical environments and associated safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multinational project environment
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence to challenge, lead, and influence
- English fluency required; German is an advantage but not essential
