Rotation: 7 on, 7 off or 14 on 14 off
Shift Length: 11 hours

Job Summary
The primary role of an electrician is to install, wire, maintain & perform preventive maintenance and repairs to electric equipment some of which are noted below in all surface and underground areas:
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair ventilation fans
- Lighting and electric/hydraulic equipment
- IT Department
- PLC and other advanced or automation systems
- High Voltage and Low Voltage Power and control systems
- Assist and carry out repairs and maintenance to all underground sub-station;
- Fabricate when required electrical panels and other necessary Installation of electrical cables
- Installation of electrical apparatus
Health And Safety
- Having the authority and responsibility to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
- Following Redpath Canada Limited health and safety standards and systems, including the Five Point Safety System and the Cardinal Rules, and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions
- Responsible to ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment required in the performance of the work.
- Must have knowledge of the WHMIS legislation and know how to effectively use an MSDS sheet.
- Comply with the Act and Mining Regulations that apply to the work area.
Qualifications
- Electrical trades certificate of competence for Industrial or Construction and Maintenance (required)
- Registered and active member with the Ontario College of Trades (OCOT)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an underground mining environment
- Ontario Hard Rock Underground Service Type Common Core (or other provincial equivalent) (required)
- Experience in planning, installation of low, medium, and high voltage installation and repairs
