Reporting to the Longwall Superintendent, an opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Coordinator to join the team at Oaky Creek North Mine.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Effectively coordinating, managing and overseeing the mechanical equipment maintenance systems for the Longwall equipment at Oaky Creek Coal.
- Optimising all maintenance activities to ensure that equipment down time is minimised.
- Monitor the compliance and standards of the mechanical equipment.
- Scoping and implementing the plan for the longwall maintenance strategy
- Reviewing of delays and corrective actions to improve equipment availability
- Building and developing stakeholder relationships
About you:
- Demonstrated commitment to a high performing safety culture.
- Hold formal qualifications as a Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Trade
- Proven supervisory experience, with a strong background in Longwall Mining
- Have proven experience in a similar role in an underground mining environment.
- Have excellent planning and coordination skills with the ability to operate under pressure
- Have attention to detail in reporting and good written and verbal communication skills
- SAP experience
