Your impact
Reporting to the Lead, Mobility Management (Global Mobility), Africa Asia-Pacific in the position of Global Mobility Advisor you will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of the global tax, immigration and relocation programs for Africa and Asia Pacific.
You will be integral in ensuring proper processes and approvals are followed, current employees and new hire candidates are communicated with in a timely manner and educated on their circumstances resulting in a positive and seamless mobility experience.
As part of our team you will
- Assist in administering the day-to-day processes for relocation, tax and immigration programs and policies to ensure alignment with Newmont’s global objectives
- Ensure compliance with immigration laws and manage visa, work permit and residency application processes
- Maintain and update tax and visa trackers, stay informed on changes in tax and immigration laws and conduct internal audits
- Oversee the end-to-end mobility process including planning, coordination and execution
- Coordinate internal transfer requirements such as payroll, benefits and system updates
- Partner with vendors to administer domestic and international transfers, assignments and relocations
- Provide support and guidance to employees and their families with relocation, tax and immigration issues including pre-departure orientations
- Communicate tax, immigration and relocation policies to employees and stakeholders and manage escalations as required
- Assist with budget planning and monitor expenses for tax, immigration and relocation programs
- Generate reports and analytics to track program performance and identify improvement areas in collaboration with HR, Talent Acquisition, legal and finance teams.
Prerequisites for your success in the role
- Knowledge of global immigration laws, visa requirements, and work permit regulations geographic region specific
- Understanding of international tax implications, expatriate compensation and benefits
- Familiarity with global compensation structures including salary adjustments, cost of living and tax equalisation
- Knowledge of international benefits practices including health insurance, retirement plans and employee benefits
- Expertise in managing end-to-end relocation processes including logistics, housing and family support
- Understanding of internal transfer policies including payroll, benefits and systems updates
- Knowledge of compliance requirements related to global mobility including regulatory and legal obligations
- Understanding of legal and regulatory issues related to global mobility including employment law, data privacy and immigration compliance
- Ability to ensure mobility programs adhere to legal requirements and industry standards
- Ability to manage risks associated with international assignments and relocations
- Awareness of cultural differences and their impact on employee assignments and relocations
- Proficient skills in data analysis tools and software and MS Office applications.

This permanent position will be offered on a flexible work arrangement and open to applicants currently living in Australia or Ghana (Accra) with full and unrestricted eligibility for employment in their home country.
