2026 Summer Internship - Zinc/Copper
About the role:
Your key responsibilities and accountabilities will be:
- Contract Management Support: Assist in finalizing contractual details with the trading, contract writing, and legal teams. This includes contract review, drafting and archiving tasks.
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Interface with warehouses, logistics service providers, and internal teams to handle inquiries or issues related to the physical movement of cargo.
- Position Management Assistance: Help in managing both physical and financial positions related to trades. This may include market research and analysis.
- Documentation Support: Aid in the preparation, processing, distribution and archiving of required shipping documents.
- Trade Pricing and Hedging Support: Run reports to ensure trades are priced/hedged accurately, may include market research and analysis.
- Adhoc Departmental Support: Assist team members within the department on various adhoc tasks as required.
As the successful candidate you will have experience in, and demonstrate the following:
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent with excellent academic record.
- Strong analysis/writing/planning skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel & Word.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, reliable, and good time management / organizational skills.
- Ambitious and entrepreneurial, willing to learn.
- Strong interest in international commodity markets.
Additional information:
- This is a paid internship – $23/hour.
- In person office attendance is required, 5 days per week.
- Office is located at 330 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10017.
- Intern will be responsible for transport costs to/from the Glencore office.
