Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Supervisor, E&I, you will be part of the Energy & Infrastructure Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on underground infrastructure such as water pumping stations, Mud Wizard, Zacon (ventilation) doors, secondary ventilation fans, air compressors, etc.
- Maintain infrastructures including hoist, refuge, fuel bay, Safescape, etc.
- Assist in planning and executing preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with reliability specialist and optimize lubrication schedules for fixed equipment.
- Support inventory and parts management by identifying critical spares and helping maintain optimal stock levels.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and parts manuals to perform troubleshooting and repair tasks.
- Execute basic welding work.
- Work with a CMMS such as JDE.
- Assess work to be performed and apply the correct procedures, rules, and regulations before executing tasks.
- Coach co-workers in any related task.
- Follow supervision formula and keep high standards in health and safety.
What You Need To Succeed
- Millwright Red Seal or Journeyman certification is considered an asset.
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a millwright in a heavy industry; mining experience is considered an asset.
- Welding certification is considered an asset.
- FMTM or Common Core certification.
Note that the official working language at Meliadine is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
