Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Site General Manager, you will be part of the Maintenance Department. You will establish our maintenance programs to ensure the achievement of project and production goals in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
- Develop and implement the maintenance strategies for all mine equipment, including the mobile fleet and fixed plant equipment;
- Coordinate the Maintenance Department for operations on site, including the Planning department, Mobile, Fixed Plant, and Electrical teams;
- Work with OEMs and vendors to integrate best-in-class maintenance practices;
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for maintenance effectiveness, including Availability, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair);
- Continuously measure and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance systems;
- Ensure alignment of site reporting with corporate KPIs and reliability frameworks;
- Ensure critical spare parts availability and optimize inventory management to balance cost and operational needs;
- Develop a three-year maintenance program;
- Prepare operating and capital budgets based on project and production plans;
- Ensure the accuracy of the training and development program for employees;
- Coach and mentor subordinates in regard to work management, employee relations, safety, environmental considerations, productivity, and cost;
- Drive a strong safety culture by ensuring all maintenance activities comply with safety policies and regulations;
- Lead by example and encourage adherence to Agnico Eagle’s Health and Safety Code of Conduct.
What You Need To Succeed
- Relevant technical degree (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.);
- Proven experience in an underground mine maintenance role, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership position;
- Experience in the mining industry with mobile, surface, and underground equipment;
- JDE working knowledge is considered an asset;
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex maintenance issues;
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations within the mining industry;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 4/3 schedule (Monday to Thursday) at our Upper Beaver Gold Project in Dobie, ON.
