About The Role
As a Process Engineer you will execute traditional daily process control activities focused on tracking, control, and improvement over time for the process parameters at the Smelter, less complex engineering tasks, which may include equipment design, the upkeep and optimization of existing assets, specification preparation, or the application of problem-solving techniques to address issues.
Responsibilities
- Data Tracking and Analysis Tracks operational data, draws conclusions, and provides recommendations based on own analysis.
- Problem Solving Addresses issues within own sector using standard procedures or methods.
- Project Management Manages the implementation of simple scope projects or improvements.
- Technical Resource and Influence Serves as a credible technical resource to supervisors and technicians in the designated sector, influencing peers and leaders through valuable input in projects and daily activities.
- Develop Methodologies Develops understanding of problem-solving and project-leading methodologies as a team member.
- Documentation and Reporting Prepares clear and concise documents and reports detailing actions and recommendations.
- Technical Assistance and Supervision Provides technical assistance to production operations and supervises employees and contractors when necessary.
- Solution Presentation Presents proposed solutions and results to team members.
What You'll Bring (Minimum Qualifications)
- Qualifications Bachelor’s degree qualification in a relevant engineering subject (Chemical or Metallurgical)
- Experience 2+ years of engineering experience in a Smelter or Processing facility.
