Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the IT/OT General Supervisor, you will be part of the Information Technology Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Advise management on appropriate actions and decisions to take.
- Act as a resource person for members of the Energy and Infrastructure team.
- Propose and design technical improvements for the IT/OT department.
- Ensure OT systems design and configuration adhere to company-wide cybersecurity standards.
- Act as a primary point of contact for OT-related mine systems infrastructure support.
- In team with IT Analysts, maintain and optimize the entire IT/OT network and server fleet.
- Responsible for the industrial computer maintenance and SCADA systems stability.
- Monitor and configure production Ethernet switches, OT servers, and OT domain.
- Design and deploy solutions to resolve technical issues related to industrial process controls.
- Design, configure, and program components related to process control, including but not limited to PLCs, AVEVA component servers, AVEVA Historian servers, and application software.
- Develop PLC-HMI templates and support technicians and engineers.
- Knowledge of GE and Schneider PLCs as well as Cimplicity, Ignition, and PI are considered an asset.
- Maintain documentation and diagrams.
What You Need To Succeed
- Post-Secondary education in a Technology centric field OR Process Control and Automation background with appropriate technology exposure and experience;
- 5 years of IT/OT experience in a mining or industrial setting;
- Ability to read, modify and develop programming logic (PLC/HMI)
- Vendor certifications are considered an asset;
- Valid Driver’s License;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 4/3 (Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday) schedule at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
