We are looking for a Project Geoscientist to conduct work that is inputted into projects with the potential to deliver ore bodies or project advancement capable of becoming large, low-cost, long-life mines, to achieve quality area selection, rapid and efficient advancement of those projects.
Reporting to the Principal Geoscientist, you will
- Lead straightforward projects or elements of larger projects within a region or business unit.
- Apply techniques and technologies to support project prioritization and advancement.
- Present results and recommendations to management for decision-making.
- Provide technical support to specific components of project work.
- Offer first-line supervision and coach less experienced staff on logistical and technical aspects.
- Undertake reporting on project activities, progress, issues, and outcomes.
- Analyze performance information and recommend improvements to technical aspects of delivery.
What You’ll Bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geoscience, or related discipline.
- 4–6 years of experience in exploration or project work.
- Competence in applying geoscientific techniques and technologies.
- Ability to lead small projects and provide technical guidance.
- Strong organizational and reporting skills.
- Familiarity with geological software and data management tools.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
