Wood is currently seeking Junior / Intermediate Process Engineers to join our Projects Canada business. This position is hybrid and will be based in Edmonton, AB.

The Role
This role provides an exciting opportunity for early- to mid-career process engineers to support projects across their full lifecycle, including study phase, DBM, FEED, and detailed design. You will apply strong engineering fundamentals to develop high-quality process deliverables while working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. This role offers exposure to a wide range of projects and supports professional development within a leading global consultancy.

Responsibilities
- Use strong technical engineering fundamentals and experience to complete process engineering deliverables and tasks.
- Develop process simulations and heat and material balances.
- Conduct process equipment and line sizing and optimize process control strategy to support PFD and P&ID development.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and other supporting offices.
- Complete assigned tasks within timeline and budget.
- Perform checking of all process engineering deliverables in accordance with industry codes, standards and guidelines, and client specifications.
- Keep updated on technical skills and on new technologies in industry.

- Expected:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university
- Currently registered or eligible for registration with APEGA
- 2–10 years of relevant process engineering experience (new graduates may be considered for select roles)
- Working knowledge of HYSYS, UniSim, or ProMax
- Ability to perform hydraulics and general equipment sizing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of process engineering fundamentals
- Ability to manage priorities across multiple projects
- Desirable:
- Experience with AFT Fathom / Arrow
- PHA experience
