Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Process Plant Maintenance Electrical Supervisor, you will be part of the Process Plant Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for ensuring reliable and proper function of all process plant related electrical systems. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Ensuring the proper functioning of all electrical assets in the facility and scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair or replacement of electrical equipment;
- Complying with all safety policies, procedures and regulations;
- Assisting in maintaining records of all electrical inventories, placing orders for spare parts and equipment and keeping a log of electrical repairs and completed maintenance;
- Diagnosing and detecting faults in complex electronic and electrical equipment;
- Assisting in the development, construction and installation of new electrical systems;
- Maintaining electrical transformers, generators, variable frequency drives, motors, lighting, and medium to high voltage distribution, substations and control systems.
What You Need To Succeed
- Ontario Provincial or Interprovincial Electrician Trade Certificate with a minimum of three (3) years’ related professional work experience;
- Safety conscious attitude is essential;
- Knowledge of variable speed drives is an asset;
- Experience in computer based maintenance system (SAP preferred);
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
