We are looking for an experienced Heavy Automotive Diesel Mechanic to join our Mobile Equipment Workshop.
The Mobile Equipment Workshop (Garage) is primarily accountable for providing vehicle maintenance and breakdown services of over 200 items of heavy industrial mobile equipment to a site that operates 24/7. The Garage currently has a team of 12 people including a Crew Leader, Planner, Tradespeople and Apprentices.
Based at Tiwai in Invercargill, this is a great opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Tradesperson to join a collaborative team working 7am - 5pm with a shift rotation of 8 days on, 6 days off.

What You’ll Bring
We are seeking a person with excellent communication skills and a relevant mechanical trade qualification, preferably as a qualified Heavy Automotive Diesel Mechanic or equivalent. This person must also have relevant current experience working on heavy automotive vehicles, loaders and forklifts.
Proven experience diagnosing and repairing specialized hydraulic systems is also preferable. Holding a current Class 1 Drivers License is also required (Class 2, desirable).
We require successful candidates to possess a high degree of flexibility and strong problem-solving skills to identify and conduct planned and unplanned repair and diagnostic work within production time constraints on a wide variety of equipment.
