Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Production Geology Coordinator, you will be part of the Geology Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Manage tasks and projects as assigned to the position by the Production Geology Coordinator;
- Assist with the management of the underground delineation drilling program, including drill hole planning, ensure priorities and targets are reached, and issuing logging priorities;
- Update 3D models for production purposes, prepare 3D modelling priorities;
- Get involved in the stope design process;
- Assist with production block model generation;
- Assist in planning underground production activities;
- Assist in mine excavation layout approvals;
- Assist with weekly, monthly and quarterly reports;
- Participate in team meetings.
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or Geological Engineering;
- Qualifications to register with NAPEG;
- 5 years of experience in geology with a minimum of 3 years in underground production;
- 3D modelling experience;
- Experience in narrow vein gold deposits is considered an asset;
- Underground Mining Modules or equivalent are considered an asset;
- Qualification for an Approval Letter for access to Explosives (or equivalent);
- Knowledge of Datamine, Deswik, and DHLogger software is considered an asset;
- Knowledge of geological production mining concepts and strong geological interpretation skills;
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Your Work Schedule:
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
