Experience, Knowledge & Skills
At least 5 years’ experience in a open cast or trackless underground mining environment as a qualified artisan.
Excellent mechanical / auto electrical of earth moving fleet – Sandvik/Epiroc/Normet.
Excellent hydraulic functionality knowledge with fault finding
Ability to read and understand schematics
Risk management experience
Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety standards
Understand and participate in ordering parts via manual/internet and assisting store controllers on stock holding
RCA understanding
Ownership of maintenance.
Roles & Responsibilities
Ensure that all TMM machinery and other equipment complies with MHSA & regulations and other OEM requirements before operation.
Responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, maintaining, replacing and commissioning of all mechanical installations, equipment and machinery within your working area.
Breakdown response
Ensure that the production process is carried out in accordance with the legal requirement, work instructions and other functions stipulated in the legal appointment and addendums thereof.
Ensure appropriate usage of machinery, equipment, tools and materials.
Assisting the team in carrying out the responsibilities were required.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environment regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Communicate with site supervisors, batching plant operators, and other team members to coordinate operations and meet project deadlines.
Promote a healthy and safe working environment.
