Job Description
Redpath Mining is seeking an experienced Underground Jumbo Operator to join our team at the OK Mine in the Norseman region.
This role offers a 7/7 FIFO roster and the opportunity to work in a safety‑driven, high‑performing underground operation
Responsibilities
- Safely operate underground jumbo drills in line with mine plans and supervisor direction
- Accurately drill development headings to design and specifications
- Conduct all pre‑start checks and ensure equipment is maintained and presented for service
- Identify and report mechanical issues, hazards or ground conditions immediately
- Complete all required drill logs, activity sheets and safety documentation
- Maintain correct barricading and signage around work areas
- Attend and actively participate in pre‑starts, toolbox talks and safety meetings
- Conduct workplace inspections including Take 5’s and JSAs
- Promote and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and safety
- Perform other duties as directed by Redpath within your capability
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating underground jumbo development drills
- Strong understanding of underground drilling practices and ground control
- Manual driver’s licence
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to read and follow mine plans and drilling layouts
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team
