Description
Under the supervision of the mobile maintenance supervisor, the mechanic:
- Performs maintenance on mobile equipment and ensures their proper functioning;
- Carries out tasks according to proper procedures and safely;
- Performs planned maintenance and work;
- Ensures the upkeep and maintenance of a large fleet of highly diverse equipment to maintain good surface and underground operations.
Job Qualifications
- Holds a vocational diploma (DEP) in mechanics or equivalent;
- Has a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;
- Possesses good manual skills;
- Demonstrates autonomy and strong ability to work in a team;
- Ability to make certain decisions and has a sharp analytical capacity;
- Prioritizes health and safety as well as teamwork as key values at work;
- Possession of modular mining worker training is considered an asset;
- Holds a valid explosives permit or can obtain one.
