Metso USA Inc. is looking for an Advanced Process Controls Engineer II to implement APC systems in the North American Region, working closely with customers to design, configure, install, and commission systems. Remote position based out of the Salt Lake City, Utah office.
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy, (civil or non) Metallurgical engineering, Mineral processing, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering/Process Control and 4 years of mineral processing or mineral processing advanced process control experience. In addition, the following specific skills are required:
- 4 years of experience with optimizing control concepts for: Crushing, Grinding, Flotation, and Dewatering;
- 4 years of experience with programming control logic using the OCS and OCS-4D programming tools;
- 4 years of experience with Frothsense (aka VisioFroth), camera set up and commissioning, and Froth velocity control;
- 4 years of experience with Rocksense2D(aka VisioRock), camera set up, and programming and use in process control;
- 4 years of experience with Smartear (aka AudioMill), and programming and use in process control;
- 3 years of experience in OPC communications;
- 3 years of experience with Dynamic Constraint Control as it applies to Advanced Process Control of Mineral processing and Crisp and Fuzzy logic programming;
- 2 years of experience Bassler Camera Set up and Model Predictive Control; and,
- 2 years of experience with document for APC Projects including Control philosophy, Safety Plan, and Control Methodology integration.
- Domestic and international travel up to 50% to unanticipated worksite locations
- Ability to work remotely anywhere in the United States.
