About the Job:
The Electrician position will report to the Electrical Supervisor. The schedule for this position is 14 days on at the remote mine site located about 45-miles north of Juneau, accessible only through company transportation, and 14 days off.
Responsibilities:
- Stop work for safety concerns, and abide by safety best practices, policies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair milling, crushing, water treatment, and camp facilities.
- Troubleshooting and maintenance of synchronous generators and power generation equipment.
- Experience with low, medium voltage circuits and variable frequency drives.
- Install and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems and all components.
- Familiar with Allen Bradley programmable controllers and Wonderware Intouch HMI.
- Plan and complete work based on company guidelines for safety, environmental compliance, and general work practices and procedures.
- Responsible for pre-shift inspection of work areas and equipment, and responds appropriately.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
- Plan and implement electrical construction as part of expansion projects.
- Employees must comply with all company policies including, but not limited to attendance, safety, environmental, and HR policies. Employees must protect the environment and their own safety, as well as those around them.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Ability to work safely and promote safe behavior in others.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset – being respectful, reliable, and easy to work with is just as important as technical skills.
- Willingness to assist others, adapt to changing conditions, and proactively solve problems in a dynamic and inclusive work environment.
- Excellent safety, attendance, and work records.
- MSHA Electrical certification.
- PLC programming, troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Must have own hand tools.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate clearly (verbally and in writing) with all mine site personnel.
- Sets high standards for self and others, builds trust, and takes accountability.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Five years underground or surface mining electrical experience.
- Electrical Journeyman certification.
- Preference given to Alaska residents.
