Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Engineering Lead, Energy & Infrastructure, you will be part of the Energy & Infrastructure Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Participate in the development, optimization, maintenance and refurbishment of surface infrastructures systems such as the glycol heat distribution, HVAC, potable and wastewater, buildings general maintenance, etc.;
- Design changes to existing infrastructures for small scale projects and coordinate larger projects with external engineering firms;
- Ensure that projects are well defined at the onset and meet the needs of individual clients;
- Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvements and provide recommendations;
- Establish and prioritize the work based on the departmental strategy;
- Determine action steps and milestones required to implement a specific business initiative; adjust activities or timelines as circumstances warrant;
- Generate options for action to address an issue or opportunity;
- Develop decision criteria that prioritize potential business outcomes, customer needs, available resources, technological advances, and organizational values while selecting the best course of action;
- Involves others in the decision-making process as needed to obtain information, generate alternatives, make the best decision, and ensure buy-in while building consensus when appropriate.
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- Active registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in a Canadian province or territory;
- Five years (5) years of experience in mechanical engineering;
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD.
Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
