Job Purpose
The
Senior Engineer BENE ORT - Support and execute operation readiness, commissioning, and startup activities for the Beneficiation (BENE) plant, ensuring systems are tested, stable, and ready for full production. The role is highly hands-on, focused on process performance, troubleshooting, and smooth plant ramp-up.
Key Systems Include
- Crushing & screening
- Grinding (SAG/ball mills)
- Desliming & classification (cyclones)
- Flotation circuits
- Thickening & tailings handling
Key Accountabilities
- Safe and efficient commissioning of BENE systems
- Timely completion of assigned activities
- Stable plant operation during startup
- Effective troubleshooting and issue resolution
Key Responsibilities
- Operation Readiness Support
- Assist in preparing:
- SOPs and operating procedures
- Startup and shutdown procedures
- Verify readiness of:
- Process systems
- Equipment and instrumentation
- Pre-Commissioning Activities
- Support:
- Mechanical completion verification
- Punch list clearance
- Execute:
- Flushing and cleaning
- Equipment checks and test runs
- Assist in:
- Loop checks and calibration
- Commissioning Execution
- Participate in:
- Dry and wet commissioning
- Initial ore feed introduction
- Monitor:
- Equipment performance
- Process stability
- Ensure systems operate according to design intent
- Process Monitoring & Control
- Track key parameters:
- Throughput (TPH)

- Support optimization of:

- E. Troubleshooting & Optimization
- Identify and resolve:

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Chemical Engineering
- Metallurgical / Mineral Processing Engineering
Minimum Experience
- 6–10+ years in:
- Beneficiation / mineral processing plants
- Experience in:
- Flotation circuits
- Commissioning and startup (preferred)
