Lead Mechanical Engineer - Data Center Project - Denmark
Earthstream Global are currently looking for Lead Mechanical Engineers to join an international MEP business that is involved with a long-term Data Center project in Denmark.
As the Lead Mechanical Engineer you will take full responsibility for the delivery of all mechanical engineering and commissioning activities of the project, leading the mechanical engineering function end-to-end, from installation through o commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team across all project phases
- Allocate engineers to work packages and coordinate project engineering resources
- Drive commissioning strategy and execution, ensuring systems are buildable, testable and ready for handover
- Lead mechanical commissioning activities including flushing, balancing, pressure testing and certification
- Ensure high standards of EHS compliance, promoting safe systems of work and leading by example on site
- Mentor and support project engineers and graduate engineers across the team
- Provide clear and structured reporting to senior engineering and business leadership
In short, you will ensure the mechanical scope is delivered safely, technically and commercially.
Essential skills and experience:
- Significant senior-level mechanical engineering experience on large-scale construction projects, with some Data Center experience
- Confidence working directly with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong organisational and communication skills
- The ability to perform effectively under pressure and maintain delivery focus in complex project environments
- Strong communication in English
- Mechanical Engineering Degree
