In this role you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that the required plant availability and reliability is achieved in area of responsibility.
- Pro-active planned maintenance and equipment services are conducted.
- Effective fault-finding and repair maintenance in response to production requirements
- Performing standby duties and respond to breakdowns after hours.
- Compliance to health, safety, environment, community standards and legislative requirements.
About you:
- Grade 12
- N3 Certificate (including relevant trade theory)
- Trade Certificate (Millwright)
- 3 Years post-trade experience as an Artisan (Millwright) in heavy Industrial Plant/Smelter environment.
- Must have LV/MV switching experience and experience on variable speed drives.
- Knowledge and experience in instrumentation will be an advantage.
- A wireman’s license (Installation electrician – IE) is advantageous.
- Good communication skills and proficiency in electronic productivity tools (tablet, computer, etc)
- Medically fit, valid driver’s license and own motor vehicle
