About The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a
Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Langeloth Metallurgical Facility in Langeloth, PA. In this onsite role, you will be responsible for leading, overseeing, and implementing quality control and assurance. This leader ensures the relevant management systems are in place to suit business needs and works with plant personnel to ensure that operations meets or exceeds standards/expectations. In addition, this position ensures that products and processes meet or exceed established ISO standards (e.g. Quality, Safety, Environmental), stakeholder requirements and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive International Organization for Standardization (ISO) management system and communicate quality, safety, environmental objectives.
- Develop and enforce quality assurance procedures and protocol.
- Plan and conduct internal audits and inspections to identify areas for improvements and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Coordinate and be LMC’s lead for external certification audits, internal audits, and facilitate auditor communication.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.
- Lead cross function teams to implement improvement initiatives and use data and analytics to drive process optimization.
- Maintain comprehensive records of quality activities, test results, inspections, and audits.
- Generate reports and analysis to communicate ISO systems performance to stakeholders.
- Educate employees on ISO standards, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with evaluation and selection of suppliers and vendors based on quality criteria.
- Assist with recruiting of and train personnel related to ISO systems.
About You
The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (i.e., engineering, quality management, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of ISO management systems.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data-oriented decision making.
- Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Regulatory knowledge and experience with quality audits.
- Minimum 5 years experience in ISO management systems.
