Job Summary
We are seeking an Environmental Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, the Environmental Specialist will be responsible overseeing all environmental data systems, ensuring data integrity, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality analysis and reporting. The position requires a broad base of scientific knowledge, technical skills, and environmental database management experience.
This position operates on a 14 days in / 14 days out rotation at the mine site in Geraldton, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary administrator for EQuIS (Collect, SPM, Professional, Enterprise, Live), including configuration, workflows, and change management oversight.
- Implement trigger alerts for internal and regulatory limit exceedances to enable rapid communication and corrective action
- Lead the full data lifecycle for environmental monitoring programs (water, air, effluent), ensuring accurate and timely data entry, validation, and reporting to systems such as MEWS, MERS, WTRS, and RSRS
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, internally and with external consultants
- Maintain documentation systems for environmental data, reports, and supporting materials
- Lead by example and help establish a strong safety culture through participation in daily, weekly, and monthly safety meetings.
- Assist with environmental monitoring activities on an as-needed basis (surface water, groundwater, inspections and others as assigned)

- Three to five years of relevant work experience with preference to those with experience in the mining industry
- Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation, standards, and effective industry practices

The salary range for this position is from $100,966.00 to $123,403.00.
