About The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a
Manager, Talent & Employee Experience to join our Centerra Corporate team. This is a hybrid position out of our
Toronto, ON office.
This role leads the design, execution, and continuous improvement of global talent management, employee experience, engagement, and development programs. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the position ensures alignment with global, corporate HR strategy while partnering with site HR teams to deliver consistent, high-quality programs adapted to local needs.
The role drives initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, employee engagement, retention, and organizational culture. This includes overseeing talent programs (e.g., succession planning, talent reviews, high-potential development), employee lifecycle programs (recruitment, onboarding, and development), and global learning strategies supported through the Learning Management System (LMS).
Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
Talent Management & Succession
- Administer and enhance talent programs, including nine-box calibration, succession planning, and individual development plans.
- Support and guide site HR teams in talent reviews and leadership pipeline development.
- Manage high-potential, mentorship, secondment, and rotation programs.
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Design and lead engagement, onboarding, recognition, and culture initiatives.
- Manage and analyze employee engagement surveys and facilitate action planning with leaders.
- Collaborate proactively with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure employee experience considerations are integrated into programs, processes, and decision-making. Lead internal communications to reinforce culture, inclusion, and organizational priorities.
Learning & Development
- Own and optimize the Learning Management System (Bridge) with support from the Senior Specialist, Employee Programs & Systems, ensuring high-quality content, user experience, and alignment with development strategy.
- Design, curate, and evaluate learning programs, leadership development journeys, and training content.
- Partner with stakeholders and vendors to deliver impactful development solutions.
Program Delivery & Collaboration
- Partner across HR and business functions to create and implement strategies to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent.
- Adapt global programs for local implementation while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Provide guidance and support to HR team members and program specialists.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor program effectiveness using engagement scores, LMS metrics, and feedback data.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend enhancements or investments.
- Maintain accurate talent and learning data, dashboards, and reporting.
About You
The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or related field.
- 10+ years’ experience in HR; experience managing teams considered a strong asset.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (Bridge LMS preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, SAP software (SuccessFactors experience an asset).
- Demonstrated experience in program design, change management, communication and facilitation.
- Key competencies include innovation, collaboration, program management and a demonstrated ability to execute and operationalize programs effectively.
- Ability to travel occasionally to any of Centerra’s international sites.
