Purpose of Role:
The Maintenance Manager – Fixed Plant Equipment is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and governance for all fixed plant maintenance activities across the Copper World processing facilities.
The role is accountable for maintenance execution, planning and scheduling, shutdown management, electrical and instrumentation maintenance, maintenance readiness, workforce development, and asset care programs to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations.
The position supports project development, commissioning, startup, ramp-up, and operational excellence through close collaboration with Operations, Metallurgy, Reliability, Process Control, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operational Readiness teams.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Lead all fixed plant maintenance activities across crushing, grinding, flotation, filtration, tailings, water, utilities, and supporting infrastructure.
- Establish and implement maintenance management systems, standards, procedures, and work management processes.
- Develop maintenance planning, scheduling, preventive maintenance, and shutdown strategies.
- Lead maintenance readiness activities supporting commissioning, startup, and ramp-up.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage maintenance operating budgets, contracts, and cost control initiatives.
- Develop workforce capability through recruitment, training, coaching, and succession planning.
- Lead major plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and outage activities.
- Establish equipment preservation and asset care programs.
- Coordinate OEM support, contractor management, and technical service providers.
- Partner with Operations and Metallurgy teams to maximize plant availability and performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, productivity, and cost optimization.
- Provide input into sustaining capital planning and long-term asset management strategies.
- Participating in engineering reviews to ensure maintainability, operability, accessibility, and safety requirements are incorporated into project designs.
- Participate in benchmarking and continuous improvement programs.
- Support operational readiness assessments and audits.
- Support corporate technical reviews and due diligence activities.
- Participate in emergency response and business continuity planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of maintenance experience in mining or heavy industrial operations.
- Minimum 10 years supporting large mineral processing facilities.
- Minimum 5 years in maintenance leadership positions.
Preferred
- Copper concentrator experience.
- Greenfield project experience.
- Commissioning and startup experience.
- Project Management experience
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP).

The work environment will necessitate work near moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions such as hot and/or dry conditions.
