About The Opportunity
We are looking for a
Functional Techno Specialist, SAP MM/PM to join our Centerra Corporate team. This is a remote work-from home position with preference for candidates being based out of our
Toronto, ON office.
The Functional Techno Specialist, SAP MM/PM is responsible for the ongoing support, and continuous improvement of Centerra Gold’s SAP S/4HANA supply chain environment, with a specific focus on logistics.
This position will support the Materials Management (MM), Plant Maintenance/Enterprise Asset Management (PM/EAM), Warehouse/Inventory Management, Master Data Governance (MDG), and related processes including reporting. This role ensures SAP solutions are aligned with business strategy, enterprise standards, audit requirements, governance requirements, and application management best practices established by the Head of Technology.
The position provides functional and techno-functional guidance and support across SAP MDG, MM, IM/WM, and PM processes, with accountability for planning, project coordination, issue resolution, solution design, testing support, audit controls, and end-user enablement. Responsibilities include sustaining existing SAP functionality, configuring new functionality, supporting business process optimization, and delivering enhancements, new capabilities, and additional SAP module requirements in alignment with business requirements and priorities.
Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Support the SAP S/4 HANA Supply Chain/Logistics modules in FIORI considering related modules integration such as FI/CO, Concur, MDG, HR and PS.
- Support SAP S/4 HANA Version 2021, transitioning to Version 2023 from end of 2026.
- Resolve end user issues and tickets in the HALO ticketing system, from cradle to grave with attention to timely customer support and supporting documentation.
- Ensure all SAP changes and HALO tickets follow IT and Audit control requirements ensuring appropriate supporting documentation, business requirements, configuration/ technical specifications, and testing scripts.
- Configure the SAP S/4 Hana system as required to meet business and system requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other support teams and external support vendors.
- Apply SAP S/4 Hana best practice solutions to automate, improve and advance current environment.
- Partner with the other SAP team members, business sites, and corporate business leads to assess and document requirements and establish priorities and roadmaps.
- Recommend operational improvements or devise new approaches to processes, gaps or issues to meet business objectives.
- Lead the design of SAP Logistics WRICEF (workflow, reports, interfaces, configuration, enhancements, workflows and forms) items and conversion programs.
- Develop alternative technical solutions, and provide advice on options, risks, costs and benefits, and impact on other business processes.
- Troubleshoot MM workflow (PR and PO) using FLEX SAP workflow.
- Understand non-SAP business systems (e.g., Oracle Financial Planning and Consolidation, FCCS and Integration Suite) and their integration with SAP.
- Work with third party system integrator (SI) partners/ AMS provider where required, based on HALO tickets, defects, projects.
- Ensure IT change management processes are followed.
- Log SAP Service Requests tickets with SAP, evaluate SAP notes, assess new functionality, and upcoming releases.
- Define and support SAP Logistics-related modules user authorization requirements, with consideration to segregation of duties and following principle of ‘least privilege’ access to the system.
- Prepare and conduct demos or training sessions as needed and develop training material and testing documents as required.
About You
The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:
- University degree in computer science, business administration or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years SAP configuration and support experience, with 5+ years functional/configuration experience in SAP S/4 Hana Supply Chain/ Logistics modules, using FIORI front end and the integration with FI/CO, Concur, MDG, HR and PS.
- SAP MM/PM S/4 Hana certification is desired.
- Experience with life cycle implementation of S/4 Hana and FIORI Apps.
- Experience with SAP FLEX workflow
- Experience designing and maintaining SAP job roles and security access including SoD analysis an asset.
- Experience working with external systems and integration with SAP.
- 7+ years’ experience dealing with end users and customer support as it relates to SAP requests, defects and projects.
- Previous experience in mining, supporting supply chain personnel with day-to-day ERP system processes is desirable.
- Experience leading design workshops to gather requirements.
- High level S/4 Hana MM/PM and MDG configuration experience including integration with related modules such as FI/CO, SD, Concur, SuccessFactors (HR) and PS.
- S/4 Hana 2021 or newer SAP process knowledge with the ability to recommend process improvements and best practice solutions.
- Expertise in analyzing business processes and requirements, creating system specifications, developing test scripts, and implementing business solutions utilizing SAP technologies.
- Experience working with Reporting and Analytical tools.
- Basic understanding of SAC reporting and Analysis for Office would be an asset.
- Highly organized, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a team player.
- Ability to self-manage but also keep the team up to date and communicate key developments, issues, and updates to the Director, Business Applications & SAP.
- Solution-oriented and customer-service-oriented mindset.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.) and SAP Enable Now/Walk Me.
