Your Impact
You will support safe and efficient Water Treatment Plant operations by following established procedures, contributing to a strong safety culture, and continuously improving how work gets done. Your attention to detail and willingness to learn will help protect people, the environment, and operational performance.
As a part of the team, you will
- Follow safe work practices and actively support Newmont’s safety culture
- Assist with pre-task planning, hazard identification, and risk assessments
- Support daily Water Treatment Plant operations and associated activities
- Learn and apply environmental, health, and safety (EHS) procedures and standards
- Communicate openly—ask questions, raise concerns, and stop unsafe work
- Contribute ideas to improve processes and team effectiveness
- Seek feedback and continuously improve performance
Prerequisites for your success in this role
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical or safety training is an asset
- Basic understanding of safety practices, risk assessments, or willingness to learn
- Exposure to or interest in plant operations, water treatment, or similar environments
- Exposure to or interest in mine site remediation, monitoring, and maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive learning mindset
- Ability to follow procedures and use practical judgment to solve problems
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Basic proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to safe work practices
Your work environment
- Site-based role within a Water Treatment Plant or mining operation
- Hands-on, team-oriented environment focused on safety and continuous learning
- Guided by established procedures, with opportunities to build practical experience
- Requires collaboration across teams and active participation in daily operations
- Site is based at an elevation above 10,000 ft, ability to work at high elevation and in inclement weather conditions.
