The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a
Materials Coordinator to join our
Project Execution team in Voisey’s Bay, Labrador, a fly-in fly-out operation.
The role is a permanent on-site position, working a 2 week on 2 week off rotation at the Voisey’s Bay Mine Site.
As a Materials Coordinator, you will act as a liaison and technical representative between the Project Execution team and Procurement and ensure that effective and efficient material control practices and processes are in place for department business needs. Your experience and skills will allow you to align parts and material with the execution of work scopes for the Project Execution department.
Additionally, in this position you will:
- Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials and parts to support both planned and urgent maintenance activities
- Partner with vendors, Procurement, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure materials arrive on time and in the most cost-effective manner
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records, ensuring critical materials are available when needed
- Prepare and coordinate job kits to enable efficient and seamless execution of work scopes
- Manage onsite inventory and laydown areas, ensuring materials are stored safely, efficiently, and are easily accessible
- Collaborate with planning and operations teams to forecast material requirements and align inventory with upcoming work schedules
- Champion a strong safety culture by maintaining compliance with company policies, environmental standards, and ethical business practices

About You
Education:
- A minimum of a technical or business diploma is required.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
Skills:
- Experience working with SAP and other enterprise systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills.
- Experience working in a construction, industrial, or operations environment.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, and manufacturer representatives.
- Experience supporting procurement activities and managing vendor relationships is considered an asset.
